Ajman 8th International Urban Planning Conference

Ajman 8th International Urban Planning Conference (AIUPC) was organized by the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, under the slogan, “Towards Happy Cities for Tolerant Citizens,” with the participation of 35 speakers including city mayors, decision-makers and international tolerance and happiness specialists, as well as architecture and planning experts and academics from all over the world. The three-day event will run from 24th April to 26th April 2017. Star Giga Establishment Limited co-sponsored the event.

His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, received the participants of the 8th Ajman International Urban Planning Conference, in the presence of Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman.

Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi welcomed the conference participants and wished them success in reaching positive results and recommendations, which could be used to create development plans and attract greater investments to implement new and various urban, social, and cultural projects that will lead to the transformation towards happy cities for tolerant communities.

The Ruler of Ajman also highlighted that the UAE’s development across various fields, especially in urban planning and in promoting a culture of happiness and tolerance among members of the community, is due to the policies adopted by the wise UAE leadership.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Head of the Tourism Development Department, Sheikh Rashid Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, Dr. Majid Bin Saeed Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Ruler’s Court, Abdullah Amin Al Shurafa, Advisor at the Emiri Court in Ajman, Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Director-General of the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, Hamad Rashid Al Nuaimi, Director of the Ajman Ruler’s Court, and several senior officials.
